Thank You Emeryville!

From Deacon John

Thanks to the amazing show of support and the subsequent email/phone campaign mounted by our friends, neighbours and Dog lovers everywhere, the City Manager and Mayor of our great town of E-ville have agreed to find a way for us to keep the Doggies here at home. We haven't shook hands on a deal yet, but I believe they are sincere in their dealings. The articles by Chip Johnson of the Chron and Cecily Burt of the Trib (two long time Dog lovers) helped in addition to the email campaign helped to get the word out. We'll keep you posted on new developments. Thanks, Jim Martin, Seb Hyde (doggiediner.com webmaster), Mike & Martina, Tara and Highland and everyone who helped. Keep the pressure on but friendly! Thanks a million. PS: Jack the youngest of the 3 Doggies will be accompanying J. D. Boggmann on a field trip in support of Dog owners rights next week. (More on this later) So don't freak out if you stop by and there are only 2 Dogs at our place! -J. Law, S. Melmoth, Vanessa K & Don H.

Emeryville's canines awarded reprieve EMERYVILLE -- Emeryville isn't going to the dogs -- yet. But the mayor's impromptu visit to a three-headed Doggie Diner shrine is a pretty good sign the city would rather compromise than be known as the town that let the dogs out.
